ALRIGHT, I got another one of these bad boys. This one is not as awesome as GOLD POWER, but uh, let's morphin'. (oh wait wrong show)

[Toys] Best-Lock Construction Toys - Attack Copter & Tank

So here's an interesting thing.

Best-Lock is another one of those "not LEGO" toylines, very much so once you seeh ow the figures look. I've only just learned about them from seeing these, but it seems they've been around for a long time now and produced enough different sets to be their own legitimate toyline. This item in particular, however, is one that stands out as being unlike LEGO.

See, what makes this stand out as an anomaly is that... LEGO doesn't make army stuff like this. I tried to fact-check to see if I could find a statement for why, but generally it just seems like they have an issue with making these things happen. You can find tons of people online making guides to how you can build a tank out of LEGO pieces, but nothing official as far as I can tell.

I will say here, there's also an air carrier set which I could have gotten, but as of observing the -ahem- quality of the bricks, I'm glad I went for this as a less frustrating set.

That said, let us open this box.

SO, MAN, this one made me happy. I figured out how to trick the blindpack bags into telling me their secrets... By shaking the parts to the top end of the bag, you can feel the parts much easier without the pamphlet in the way. Doing this, I found the figure I was hoping to get...

[Toys] LEGO Minifigures Series 6: Flamenco Dancer

Alright, here's something I've been thinking about how to format... I think what I'll do is just review individual figures. That said, I'll end up with multiple reviews since I've bought a bunch of these lately.

Blindpacked toys are something you may or may not heard of (though chances are if you know me for my Kamen Rider, you have heard of it.) Basically, it's a type of toy - usually small and inexpensive - that is packaged in a box or a bag with no indication of what exactly is inside, hence the name, blindpack. This means you get a surprise!

So, LEGO does blindpacked minifigures. When I first heard about these, I was kind of surprised - surprised they hadn't done this years ago. Or maybe they did and it was overlooked. But blindpacked toys are pretty popular now, I've seen half a dozen kinds at my local toy stores, so I figured it was time to hop on this bandwagon and see what I end up with.

The Kre-O sets I've reviewed so far have been mere $10 sets... Let's take a look at what an extra 10 bucks will get you. (Also I got this for $15 on Amazon, ha!)

Yet another Kre-O set! I have officially been abducted by this toyline. Let's dive right in.

Well this is an interesting one. One of the three things I got for my birthday. I thought I'd take a look at Hasbro's latest brainchild for the robot toyline we all know and love.

The Kre-O toyline is Hasbro's answer to "Transformers LEGO sets" and is their way of saying "We're sorry about last time." Rather than doing what Built To Rule tried by making a vehicle that transformed with some brick rearranging here and there, Kre-O is essentially a brick set that can be assembled into a car OR a robot, with some pieces being put to the side in either mode.

That said, let's pop this baby open. Solid.
