[Toys] LEGO Minifigures Series 6: Clockwork Robot

SO, MAN, this one made me happy. I figured out how to trick the blindpack bags into telling me their secrets... By shaking the parts to the top end of the bag, you can feel the parts much easier without the pamphlet in the way. Doing this, I found the figure I was hoping to get...

You probably know I'm a sucker for robots, if you know me. So when I saw this guy was in the series, I HAD to get him somehow. I was admittedly trying to feel around for parts in my last shopping trip, but it's kind of hard to feel for a blocky piece when most of the LEGO fig bodies are blocky...

Anyway! This is the clockwork robot. He's a cute, 50s style robot with a blocky head. Remember what I said about this line being nice about providing custom pieces? This head piece, as far as research tells me, has never been used before. And what a nice head it is. The paint work on the body is once again nicely detailed, lots of little details that look great.

As for as accessories go, this one comes with an L-shaped piece for the neck which allows things to be plugged onto the back, and in doing so you plug on a wind-up key - the cute factor just went up! Of course turning it doesn't do anything, but if you want to pretend...

And that's it, really. No complaints! He is everything you might want him to be. Maybe it would be cool if he had a gun or something, but I think the wind-up key implies he's meant to be a toy robot, so really he just needs to walk like Frankenstein's monster and nothing else.

So yeah, more LEGO. Might go shopping again soon and see if I can nab a Lady Liberty this time. I feel lucky...
